The girls’ section currently has 12 teams. They start at aged U7, and we plan on starting our first open age team in 2024-2025.
Our younger teams (U7 to U12) play in the Cheshire Girl’s League. The venues are Activity For All, Leasowe 4G, Weatherhead 4G or Arrowe Park grass pitches on a Saturday Morning.
The older teams (U14 and U16) play in the Liverpool Girls Leagues at Walton Hall Park 3G and Joe Stone Playing Fields (grass pitches).
All teams train on a weeknight at individual training sessions. Many of the girls also training on a Sunday morning.

Do you want to come and join us?
The best way for your daughter to start playing is literally just to turn up at our Sunday morning open sessions. Any girl can turn up and play. There is NO cost.
They are at Anglesey Road pitches West Kirby (CH48 5EQ) between 9-10:15am.
The sessions are linked to FA Wildcats and FA Squad Girls initiatives. These are FA initiatives that encourage girls to start playing play football.
Weather permitting, we play on grass pitches. If the grass pitches are waterlogged, we hire AstroTurf pitches locally. If you want to double check, where we will be located, please message Paul on 07802497688.
Any new players parents can be added to our Sunday WhatsApp group – just ask.
If your daughter has boots and shin pads, please bring them along.
The sessions are mixed aged girls between 5 to 16 years old.
The girls are split into age-appropriate groups. We often have girls training in the same group that play in different teams (for the club) on a Saturday. The coaches
that run the sessions are often different to those that run their teams. We have different age groups playing on pitches next door to each other. We want the girls to feel part of the club and not just part of their team and the older girls to be role models to the younger. These sessions help us achieve that.
On a Sunday the sessions are more relaxed than team training. We aim to make the sessions as fun as possible.
Our Philosophy with the Girls
We of course want to develop good female footballers and create good girl’s teams. We acknowledge this can only be achieved through the girls truly loving the beautiful game. It is for us to create that environment.
It is equally important to encourage the development of the girls themselves. We positively encourage the girls to look after each other, play fairly and be true team players.

Our Current Girls / Parents
We are very fortunate and have an exceptionally nice set of girls and parents that are all from the local area.
The Club really does have a welcoming and community feel. This is what we are all about.
Our main ambition is that the girls have a fantastic footballing experience.
Colours Day
At the end of every season, we run an internal tournament for the girls called colours day. This is a world cup style tournament. The teams represent different countries and are coached by parents (Mums preferred). The teams are often
made up of girls who normally play in different teams within the club. It is a really good way of getting the girls to mix and have fun. In the last couple of years, we have had approximately 100 girls playing.
The Future
With every new season we aim to start a new under 7’s team. We have achieved this in the last 7 consecutive seasons. Those teams are often so popular, that they are split into two teams.
We are always open to the idea of creating new teams at different age groups where there is demand.
We want to establish a pathway for females to play football from 5 years old until they retire at the end of their playing career.

Coaches
Our coaches are primarily (although not exclusively) parents of players. We actively encourage all our coaches to obtain a level one FA coaching badge. Within the girl’s section we have numerous coaches that have obtained / are in the process of obtaining of a level 2 FA coaching badge.
All our coaches are DBS checked.
