Apply for a DBS check
The first step to coaching at West Kirby United.
Every coach at the club needs a DBS check obtained through the FA — a certificate from another organisation cannot be used, however recent it is. Send us these details and the club's welfare officer will start the process for you.
If you do not know your FA Number, leave it blank; the FA explains how to create or find one and we can chase it up later.
What happens next
The welfare officer starts your DBS application with the FA and will contact you for the identity documents the FA needs. Once it comes through you can begin the two required courses, and the club reimburses the cost.
We keep these details only as long as it takes to process the check and to keep a record that it was done.
