Colours Day 2027
A World Cup style internal tournament across the whole club, 5 and 6 June 2027 at Hoylake Rugby Club.
- When
- Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June 2027
- Where
- Hoylake Rugby Club
- Entry
- £2 adults, £1 players and children
Colours Day is the club's own World Cup: teams are drawn from across the age groups, each one representing a country, and they play it out over the weekend. Children often end up playing alongside people they would never normally be in a team with, which is most of the point.
The weekend
| Session | Who is playing |
|---|---|
| Saturday morning | Boys U5 to U8 |
| Saturday afternoon | Boys U9 to U12 |
| Sunday morning | All girls |
| Sunday afternoon | U13 to U16 and above |
The girls' session on the Sunday morning has been running for years and regularly draws around a hundred players — there is more about it on the girls' page.
On the day
Bouncy castle, food vans, ice cream vans, a sweet stall, a DJ and a licensed bar. Football, fun and community.
Parking
Please park considerately on the approach to the club. It gets busy across the weekend, and the neighbours have to live there after we have all gone home.
